    Synopsis

Henry and Mudge are going to a sleepover at Patrick's house! There's pizza and popcorn, games and monster movies...and Mudge even has his own sleeping bag (he's too big to share Henry's). But will anyone at this sleepover ever get to sleep?

    Annotation

Henry and his dog Mudge are invited to a sleepover in Patrick's attic, where they watch monster movies, eat pizza, and enjoy a contest to determine whose dog is the best popcorn catcher.

    Children's Literature

Henry's friend Patrick has invited him and a few friends to a sleepover. Each of the boys brings a sleeping bag, a flashlight, and their dog. Mudge is drooling at the opportunity to munch on some popcorn—one of his favorite snacks—and Henry is excited at the prospect of watching scary monster movies. The boys all arrive at Patrick's house and the smart parents have a very special place set up for this sleepover—the attic. The kids have a great time and finally do settle down to sleep. Mudge being a rather large dog has his own sleeping bag, while the other boys snuggle up with their dogs. At the end of the story, it turns out that Mudge is a really big hit because all the other dogs end up snuggling with him. Another delightful glimpse into the life of Henry and his friends and family. A level 2 book in the "Ready-To-Read" series.
