"Peggy Claude-Pierre has created a paradigm shift in the way we view and treat anorexia. Peggy has shifted the focus of care from that of controlling the symptoms of disordered eating to healing the negativity that would otherwise plague the individual for the rest of his or her life. I have developed the utmost respect for her, for I realize that she has translated the secret language of anorexia. Now it is up to us to use the knowledge she has revealed."
--Daniel J. Smith, M.D.

February 18, 2003: i was once a sufferer of CNC. thankfully my therapist got her hands on this book and read it several times. she was so amazed by what she found, she called me and i immediately drove to the closest bookstore and read the book too! i can honestly say that this book simply saved my life. there is no doubt in my mind. i had suffered from acute anorexia for over 10 years before i read this book, and had been to clinics and hospitals all over the world. yet the ironic thing was that this book contained everything every professional i had ever talked to didn't understand. the secret language of eating disorders held the key to my getting well. i had never heard the term CNC, i had always felt *different* from many of the others in the hospitals/clinics i had been in, and yet everything peggy claude-pierre wrote about was me. she could have been writing about me, but i didn't know the lady personally. using peggy's ideas, my treatment team guided me out of those dark days, and now almost two years later, i am without anorexia (and have been for almost a year) as well as not having CNC. i'm a completely different person who no longer takes all negativity out on myself. thanks to peggy and the words in this book, i learned to be a fighter and fought for my life. AND I WON! if you or someone you know is fighting this horrible conditions, this is the book that will shed the light on the secret language that no one talks about.

September 11, 2002: I have had the good fortune of finding a clear, well written and truly inspirational book! Peggy's own story is poignant and inspiring. Her dedication to alleviating the suffering of those poor, dear ones afflicted, as well as their families, should be applauded and replicated worldwide! We all certainly need more understanding, compassion and unconditional love when dealing with such a devastating disease. I whole heartly recommend this book for anyone who wants to expand their heart and mind. I look forward to reading more from Peggy Claude-Pierre.
