Trevor Trevor is a metaphor for children. The main character, Trevor, is a child with impressive, though isolated skills. Unfortunately, it is not Trevor's strengths that his classmates notice, but rather his differences. Change comes through the efforts of a caring and sensitive teacher. Trevor Trevor is a heartwarming story designed to be read to children by adults. The unusual feature of the book is that it comes with two Trevor cut-out paper doll figures. These are intended to serve as props for adults and children to use as they review and/or act out the events of the story that make Trevor happy or sad. The ultimate goal of Trevor Trevor is to enable typical peers to become more sensitive toward their classmates with differences. This book is appropriate for early to later elementary school years.
