August 03, 2004: I used this book as a supplement to learn while I was taking calculus in college. It reinforced the very basics of how calculus works, but did not go into any depth on how to solve problems.

May 05, 2001: Just upon opening to an arbitrary page (pg.24) concerning the Chain Rule, the example at the bottom has several cubes indicated as sub-scripts when they were properly annotated as cubes in the line above! In addition there is a missing close parenthesis. This is but one example on one page but if this represents any form of sampling regarding the rest of the book, forget it. Calculus is challenging enough without having to stumble through mistake after mistake on part of the publisher.
