Rosie Flo's Coloring Book -- Welcome to the world of Rosie Flo! This wonderful collection of dresses and costumes is just waiting for characters to wear them, and that's where you come in. You create the heads, legs, and arms, and then color and complete each scene any way you imagine it. This world is yours to fill with your colors and creativity!
Resembling the wardrobe for a paper doll collection, the line drawings in these three books are of dresses-dresses paired with shoes or crowns; dresses shown alongside a table bearing petits fours. "Just add heads, legs, and arms" read the covers of these small-format paperbacks; most readers will also want to fill in the scenery, write dialogue balloons and, especially, get to work coloring in those fantastically patterned frocks. Animals and Garden do not, as their titles might suggest, change the subject: animals inspire the gowns in Animals(e.g., a pair of giraffe-patterned thigh-high boots complements a giraffe-patterned tunic and purse); as seen in Garden, a floor-length skirt with a cactus texture could come in handy on a crowded school bus or subway. Ages 8-up. (Mar.)

She was inspired to create the Rosie Flo coloring books after drawing many dresses at the request of her two young daughters, who would then color them in. Published in the U.K. in 2004, the successful series has reached many corners of the world.
