Children will feel right at home as they turn each page to reveal new surprises in this homestead-shaped book.
The Koala Brothers are home just relaxing when Ned, the mail carrier, arrives. He lets the family know that they might have a package from their friend Penny the penguin. Indeed, Penny has sent pictures from Antarctica where she had recently traveled. Mitzi is excited and Ned decides that he is hungry. While they sit down to enjoy some tea and chocolate cake, Mitzi decides to go to the general store. Since the day is drawing to a close, the Koala brothers invite Ned to spend the night. In the closing scene they all wish each other good-night, they also wish Penny good night wherever she might be. The story leaves a lot to be desiredthere is no explanation of why Mitzi is going to the store or why Ned would be staying overnight. 2004, Golden Books/Random House, Ages 1 to 2.
