This book is the first of two complementary volumes developed from papers presented at the April 2000 British Mycological Society's symposium held in Liverpool, UK. Some additional papers have also been added. Chapters describe the systematics, ecology, biology, and economic dimensions of tropical macromycetes (large fungi).
