This captivating novel - the life of Jesus as seen through the eyes of a young girl - breathes new insights into the biblical account. Retelling the stories of the Gospel with all the innocence and clarity of a child's perspective makes them seem at once familiar and utterly fresh. At the heart of the novel is the figure of Jesus himself. Represented as a healer and radical teacher, he touches the hearts and minds of all those who hear his words. His love and power radiate throughout the narrative, echoed in the sensitive yet emotionally charged portraits of Mary Magdalene, the twelve disciples, and Miryam, the mother of God.

April 03, 2006: Good portrayal of Jesus and very Biblically accurate. However, there were too many flashbacks, and scenes kept on changing every two minutes. I do not recommend this book, because it made you feel very confused. The book would have been good if they just stuck to one scene at a time.
