September 28, 2003: Most of the reviews here blame the book, but none refer to any other better book.. wud be great if someone lists the books that really cover the topics in depth, especially for MCAD..

September 08, 2003: I have taken other MS tests and I have read this book cover to cover. I can tell you that this book does not give enough topical depth to prepare you for anything aside from very basic development of .net web app pieces. The book is also very lacking in web application architecure. If you are a web developer/architect with good years of experience, supplementing this with another in-depth volume or two and a transcender or test king would most likely lead to success. Although his propensity to use 'script server' tagging and his goofy way of attaching events gets old pretty quick, I would recommend Dino Esposito's 'Building Web Solutions with ASP.net and ADO.net' for a good fundamental crash course on .net web app development.
