The Scottish hamlet of Little Firkin has one important industry: the guardianship of Amelie Chase, a witchling banished by the ton for her alleged supernatural powers, and entrusted by her benefactor to Fanny Walcott. But the scheme is hitting a snag: Little Firkin is cramping Amelie's style, anonymous notes are threatening her life, and now, two handsome travelers arrive with tantalizing links to the pasts of both women. And what's happening in Little Firkin is so enchanting, it's going to take a leap of faith to believe it.
Once married to a disgraced charlatan, Francesca Walcott, at the behest of a desperate father, has begun a new life in a remote Scottish village as companion to the lovely young Amelie Chase. However, Fanny's peaceful world shatters when a notorious fraud-exposing barrister, the cynical Lord Greyson Sheffield, comes to Little Firkin with his nephew, Lord Hayden Collier, and zeroes in on the women. A dual romance dusted with a dash of magic, Brockway's (Skinny Dipping) latest is charming, compelling, funny, and heartwarmingly provocative, delivering as only Brockway can. Although her contemporary romances are delightful, Brockway here delivers a historical that will make her fans rejoice. A reader favorite, she lives in Minnesota.

March 16, 2009: As its title states, this was a very enchanting read. I couldn't help but giggle at some of its passages. I was highly entertained. I have read other Connie Brockway books and I was never disappointed.
I Also Recommend: Bride of a Wicked Scotsman, Surrender to the Highlander (Harlequin Historical Series #886), A Well Favored Gentleman, Lost in Your Arms (Governess Brides Series #5), Border Moonlight.

March 02, 2009: I enjoyed So Enchanting. It took me a while to get used to Brockway's writing style. It just seemed different to me. I really enjoyed Fanny and Grey's opinionaated conversations and their outlook on love and relationships. I think the ending was kind of mashed together, but other than that I liked it.
