August 30, 2009: I have to say, I really enjoyed this book in the series as well. I usually don't like period stuff, but this one was okay (and a little enlightening). If you enjoyed the rest of the series, you will defintiely like this one.

Good British style Vampire Bookby Martel_Reviews

August 30, 2009: A bit of a departure to the writing style of Emma Holly. This book is not as steamy as her other books. However, that does not mean it is not sexy and hot. Just a bit more reserved. The characters draw you in the adveture and conflict of thier lives. The setting is at the turn of the 20th century and begins in England. Edmund is a vampire that has adopted several orphans to live with him. Ms. Holly draws you into the relationship each has with the other and with Edmund. The book is slow at times but always charges full steam ahead after those breaks.

I Also Recommend: Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood Series #1), Wild Rain (Leopard Series #2).
