      Synopsis

The thrilling new erotic paranormal romance from the USA Today bestselling author

Fleeing the routine life her family wanted for her, Beth joins an archaeological dig spearheaded by her cousin Charles. For such an adventurer, the desert city of Bhamjran is perfect for making unusual discoveries-especially when it comes to forbidden appetites. Like his own unnatural desire for a Yama demon. And as he and Beth are about to learn, some Yama find humans equally irresistible...

      It's good but...by Anonymous

August 29, 2008: I didn't love it as much as 'Prince of Ice' which did a much better job of tying plot elements together. Here, Muto's motivations were pretty weak, and his actions rather stupid considering his reasons for them. The erotic scenes however are intense and partially compensate for the plot shortfalls, which is OK given that's the main draw. The story of Queen Tou was also a weak part of the plot and the ultimate explanation also rather insufficient. There are some good story elements but they are never really used well. I also wished her settings could be more easily tied to our reality rather than merely a tool to evoke imagery. There's a potential for a really great story hidden in here but it's the sex scenes that meet their goal best.

April 23, 2008: I read this book 4 'four !' times in 2 weeks. Each read became more sweet and poignant. I became more 'in love' with the characters need to protect and accept each other and helplessness to be wholly accepted. Without a doubt Emma Holly has created passionate, achingly tender, soul wrenching erotica with characters you'll never forget. It is truly a story of love, caring and passion between 3 unique & vulnerable characters: A highly-sexed demon and two humans: an innocent female 'a fast learner' & an adventurous male. All this intermingled with fantastic erotica - In the words of the author, 'Hot-Hot-Hot'!
