In a time when a kingdom hangs in the balance, her most trusted ally is a pirate from a far-off land
Across a mysterious rift in the space-time continuum exists a world called Naruihm. In this world is a realm called Morevi, a landlocked kingdom ruled by Askana Moldarin, crowned "First Queen" following a swift and bloody rise to the Throne of a Thousand Suns. Yet hidden traitors are already at work to destroy everything that she has won.
Enter Rafe Rafton, privateer captain of the Defiant. Arrogant. Overconfident. Dangerous and cunning enough to pillage the Queen’s own ships and survive. As a man, he is the embodiment of everything she has fought against, and the perfect instrument in a last desperate bid to save her kingdom.
With the sum agreed upon, Rafe and Askana embark on an epic adventure spanning the kingdoms of Naruihm and King Henry VIII’s England. Two souls are drawn together in the battle for a kingdom…

August 22, 2003: If you see one Pirate Movie this summer- See Pirates of the Caribbean. If you read one Pirate book this summer- read Morevi. But wait this isn't just a 'pirate' book. Oh, yes it does feature rapier work, battles on the high seas, a crew of rapscallions to know and love, and a dashing captain monikered the Sea Wolf with an eye for plunder as well as the ladies; but there's a flipside you don't expect- the other main character Askana. Askana comes from a world separated from ours where magic is real- as divinely beautiful as an Elven ship and as deadly as Lubria an elemental in a form blending woman and leopard. Askana's nation Morevi has undergone a recent civil war and she is still working to heal these wounds. To rival powers such as nearby Eyrie, this is a perfect opportunity to plan an invasion. What starts as a well concieved plan to flush out a conspiracy allied with Eyrie, requiring the help of one privateer, Rafe Rafton rapidly spirals out of Askana's control. Rafe and Askana must learn to trust and respect each other, and soon, or the Silken Box that is Morevi will fall into the clutches of Cedric of Eyrie. From the wilds of the Tangled Woods to circuitous intrigues of King Henry VIII's court the action just keeps on going. You will be surprised how far Rafe and Askana are willing to go to save Morevi. Heave to, and read on!

June 21, 2003: Morevi is a terrific book for anyone who loves fantasy! It is a must read. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll hate some of the characters, but you won't be able to put it down. The epic story of Queen Askana Moldarin and Captain Rafe Rafton of the Defiant is one of the best literary pieces of the year! A must read! Definitly one of my top ten books that I have ever had the pleasure of reading! Lisa and Tee have done an amazing job bringing the world of Morevi to life!
