In the midst of a blizzard, Caroline Morrow's coach is waylaid at an inn on the outskirts of a small village. More happy than annoyed at the unexpected stop, she basks in the warmth from a crackling fire, until a voice from the past sends a chill down her spine…
Lord Simon Blair emerges from the shadows…still handsome, still powerful. In a moment, recollections of their sensuous affair scorch the space between them, even though their liaison ended badly—with his infidelity and her flight into marriage. Now divorced and nearly penniless, Caroline cannot hide her dire straits from her former lover—or the thrill that courses through her at the sound of his seductive voice…
An evening spent at cards becomes a night spent in bed, which turns into days of tantalizing bliss. But Caroline must make her escape. Tearing herself from Simon's arms, she finds her way to her new employer and takes up her new position as governess, only to learn that her surrender to Simon has whetted his appetite for more. And the chase is on…
Nominally set in 1821, Susan Johnson's latest erotic historical romance dispenses with 19th-century formalities (not to mention language and mores). Aptly titled Again and Again, it tells the story of Lady Caroline Morrow, a blueblood fallen on hard times and forced to work as a governess. On the way to her new post, she runs into her childhood love, the rakish Simon Blair, who sets out to seduce her anew. Sex isn't enough, she tells him (in the parlor of a crowded inn), but it will be for fans of Johnson's heavy-breathing fiction. (May) Copyright 2002 Cahners Business Information.

September 26, 2003: I have read several books by Susan Johnson and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Again and Again left me wanting more intimacy from the characters. The sex was hot, but they didn't communicate. There was too much anger and it seemed they resolved it by having more sex. I will continue to read other books by Susan Johnson.

May 12, 2003: I overall enjoyed this book. Some of the scenes were pretty heated. This is a warning. It was a nice escape.
