    Synopsis

A woman who has lived by everyone else's rules must discover what she is made of when her life crumbles around her.

When Faith Bronson's marriage ends abruptly, she finds her privileged life shattered. Only just beginning to face the lie she has lived, she finds sanctuary with her two children in the shabby Georgetown row house that's been in her mother's family for generations.

This historic house harbors dark secrets of its own. When Faith takes steps to rebuild her ancestral home, she meets Pavel Quinn. Though he is connected to her past in stunning ways, his strong attraction to Faith is enough to convince him to keep silent . . . because the truth could drive her away forever.

But now the secrets of the house on Prospect Street are about to be revealed. For it is only when the truth is told that Faith, her family and the man she loves can make a new beginning.

October 24, 2004: My kind of book....exactly! Emilie Richards develops her characters slowly so that the reader has time to get acquainted with each one and understand the idiosyncracies of all. I have read most everything she has written and will continue to do so.

Prospect Street, one of the best reads of this summerby Anonymous

July 09, 2003: Emilie Richards, Prospect Stereet can be described only as one of the best reads so far this summer. It kept me revited to my seat long after the lights went out around me. It is a book full of mystery, intrigue, lies, love, and friendship. Yet is was also gentle and touching. I found traits in people like Joe, to be disgusting and pitiful. And qualities of patience and loyalty in characters like Faith, Pavel, even David. The major characters, kept me involved to the very end. And the minor ones, like Colin and Ralph, were likeable too. I cried for the kids who had to grow up faster than they should had. And laughed over the eccentric, Dottie. By the time I reached the end, my tears fell freely, and I ached for the story to go on. Indeed this was a good read and I hope Mrs. Richards will choose to continue with the lives of these characters or their children in a second installment of the people from Prospect Street.
