      November 16, 2003: I just finished reading The Collective, and was surprised by how much more there is to the story than just science fiction. While it has plenty of sci-fi detail and action for people like me, it also displays a great deal of tenderness and caring between the two main characters, Sam and Tess Masters. All in all, it was very enjoyable, and I wish it wouldn't have ended. I sure hope there is a sequel! :-)
