March 12, 2003: This novel was very refreshing. I enjoyed the fact that not only was the book full of happiness, but it also brought real life into focus. The novel also brought out the bad times that the characters face. Most people do not find true love and live happily ever after. It was nice to read a novel that portrayed real life. I laughed, I cried. I thought it was wonderful and I can't wait to read more from this author.

December 24, 2002: The start of the book was wonderful, I could'nt put it down. Ian and Faith's love was so refreshing. Then out of the blue the main characters are viciously murdered so quickly. It felt like their love didn't even exist. The second part of the book really did not get any better because the children of Ian and Faith suffer bad luck too.(Jenny the daughter gets viciously raped. It also brought in too many new characters near the end to get to know and relate to. Instead of feeling good about this book I really felt cheated.
