      Synopsis

      Like father, like daughter.
That's what businessman Alex Trahern thinks about Isabel Harrison. If the prestigious headhunter thinks she can steal his top employee, just like her father stole his dad's ideas, she's dead wrong. Alex is always a man with a plan, and his plan is to get revenge on John Harrison through his daughter. But there's no contingency plan for the impact Isabel's sparkling green eyes and honey brown hair have on the decidedly non-business side of his brain...

If at first you don't succeed, change the game.
After some relationship flameouts, Isabel's decided to leave love out of it and approach her search for a husband like finding a suitable job candidate. And according to her list of requirements, Alex Trahern certainly has potential. He's sexy. (Check.) Forceful and fascinating. (Check, check.) Also arrogant, obnoxious, and way too hot for her own good. (Erase. Start over.) Now, if only she could find out what he's really after...

In a high-stakes game of love, attraction, and desire, two people playing for all the wrong reasons are about to discover how delicious it can be when plans go deliciously awry and love is all that matters.

November 10, 2005: Alex Trahern is a person bent on revenge from the one person who he feels is responsible for his father's death, John Harrison. He has accumulated as much information he could in order to help cement a deal for a hostile take over of John's company Hypertron. This includes a picture of Isabel who Alex has always thought was beautiful. But being the enemy's daughter has prevented him from acting on his obsession with her. But when Isabel contacts Marcus Danvers to offer him a better position, Alex decides to pay her a visit. When Isabel meets Alex for the first time she is disturbed by his presence, but regardless of her inner feelings for him she holds her ground and stands up to him. Although Alex is a tall, dark, handsome and a powerful person, Isabel is the beautiful, kind and sweet person that throws him for a loop. The sexual chemistry is strong from the first meeting, and Alex has decided that he must have her, as his own, and thinks that by marrying her he can deflect her leaving him when she finds out about his revenge plan. This is a book that shows how Isabel, with her love for him, can turn the determined and at times hard-headed Alex around. Lucy Munroe takes us on an journey with two strong characters and the twists and turns that comes before the final showdown, all the while showing you the human aspects of them both. She also does a great job of laying the foundation for Marcus to have his own story. This was a great read, which left you wanting for more and I look forward to her next book.

June 24, 2005: In Come Up and See Me Sometime, Lucy Monroe writes another steamy, classic, romance with her usual talent for romantic twists and creative turns! Her heroine is a delightful, sensual, strong willed, polyanna! Her hero is a determined, sexy man of character and depth. The dialogue between the characters of this book is fast paced, clever, and very, very enjoyable! The physical chemistry between the main characters is explosive! I highly recommend this read to anyone who loves edgey, classic romance.
