May 11, 2000: A riveting read from page one, the reader is swept into the lives of Bryan Reilly and Emilynne Wellesley as they struggle against the very 'blessing' that brings them together. Finely drawn charactors are woven into a tale as lusty and lyrical as Ireland itself. Emilyanne is a heroine of style and rare courage who will do whatever is needed to protect those she loves. Bryan adroitly combines a steely strengh tempered with an inherent kindness willing to forfeit obligation for something he does not fully understand. Bryan and Emilyanne quickly become people we care about, root for. The charactors live within pages teeming with cowardice and courage, loyalty and betrayal. Run, don't walk to the store for this one.
