Jarron Marshall should have worried when he saw the open door. But he was so sure he had nothing worth stealing. Nothing worth a break-in. Certainly nothing worth his life. He was wrong. If he'd known what was going to happen to him what doors his injury would open he would have turned around and walked the other way.
Because nothing in his past could ever have prepared him for the terror of his present. For visions living eyes were never meant to see. For voices better left unheard. And, as he's trapped in a power play between science and technology, Jarron finds it's not the only battle he's caught in and that power plays aren't limited to the living. The "door" is open in more ways than one.
Jarron is discovering new things about himself, on a daily basis. Things he wishes he never knew. And, as time goes by, and his questionable gifts manifest themselves in everything from spectral visions, to painted illusions, he begins to suspect he's going to be forever doomed to capturing grave images.

September 16, 2000: This timely novel is an intriguing and lighter look at the 'other side'. Despite the serious subject it is written in a humourous style with a liberal sprinkling of word play. It has the scientific ring of authenticity and offers an insightful look at the competitive world of research and development. Clever, colourful characters with unique relationships help each other through a variety of curious and calamitous events. They watch in horror and terror as one of their own slides into a maelstrom of earth shattering botanical research , industrial espionage, murder, and souls lost in limbo in the spirit world. This scientist wrestles with his demons and acquires a wondrously terrifying gift which will forever change his life and the lives of those around him. This thought provoking read is well worth your time.
