March 07, 2003: A well written book aimed at non-programmers. I found the pace to be very relaxed and enjoyable. This book really is a starter kit for programming ASP.NET. The author walks you through several exercises in building ASP.NET applications with the free program Web Matrix. Easy to follow instructions take you through setting up IIS with MSSql server and right into your first project. With exercises like this it's easy to see what exactly ASP.net is and what it can do for you. Advanced readers may find this book a bit slow, but for those of us that need an extra minute to grasp new languages this book is excellent.
