      Synopsis

Fred the Mermaid has taken the bait and chosen to date Artur, Prince of the Black Sea, over human marine biologist Thomas. And just in time. The existence of the Undersea Folk is no longer a secret, and someone needs to keep them from floundering in the media spotlight. Fred has all the right skills for that job, but has a hard time when her real father surfaces and tries to overthrow Artur's regime.

      Biography

When it comes to playful romances featuring vampires, werewolves, and Cyborgs, no one can touch the ultra-prolific MaryJanice Davidson. Her Undead Series is a wildly popular succession of books following Vampire Queen Betsy Taylor and her quest for love… and a great pair of shoes!

October 23, 2009: Ok, it's going to seem like I really didn't like this series (which is partially true) but I would like to take a moment to address the fact that MJD really fell down on this project. It could have been really cute if thought out and maybe some effort was put into it. What do you need to know??? It's an extremely light read (meaning short - I think it was funny how they put it in a regular size book but there may have only been two paragraphs on each page by the time they've spread it all out) and the story is partially inconsistent from book to book (not extremely so but still frustrating or atleast it was to me). I guess at the end of the day, I'm just really dispointed because I like MJD but this is not her best stuff. There are so many more things she could have done with it! However, don't give up on the author because her undead series is really good! If you like paranormal(more specifically vampires), you should check out some of my suggestions.

I Also Recommend: Twilight, Undead and Unwed (Betsy Taylor Series #1), Dead over Heels, Sookie Stackhouse 8-volume Set, I'm the Vampire, That's Why.

July 18, 2009: Princess Fred is back in book 3 of the mermaid adventures. This book takes off right where the last one left off and delivers more action, romance and fun. After the mermaids have outdid themselves to the world book three looks at what happens and how Fred has to be the go between (from bi-peds to Undersea Folk). Fred is still caught in a love triangle and is best man in a wedding. I can't wait to get my mits on book 4.
