October 07, 2008: I enjoyed this book and I found the mystery in the book interesting. I did find a few errors in the story, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment in reading the book and I wondered if I imagined what I was reading. For instance there was one passage where Sara finished her wine at dinner and in the next paragraph, she was swirling her wine around in the glass to take a drink, no big deal to the storyline. In Fallen, we have two murders that are just alike but take place years apart. One in 1849 and one in current day. Gabriel is a fallen Angel and it was in 1849 that his mistress Anne, was murdered and all of the evidence pointed to him. However, he was found not guilty. Current day, Sara Michaels, comes to work with Gabriel, he is writing a true crime novel, her Mother, Jessie Michaels, was murdered the same way as Anne. Gabriel and Sara hope to solve the murders but share a mutual attraction-(Gabriel being a fallen Angel can't allow himself to touch Sara or fall in love with her, for her own sake) There are other fallen Angels in this book, but all of these fallen Angels are now known as Demons, can Gabriel and Sara solve the murders before it is to late? A good mystery and urban fantasy, and paranormal romance.
