      Synopsis

When Patti finds herself stranded at the altar, she and her cousin Kate decide not to let a perfectly good honeymoon vacation go to waste.

They head for Hawaii ready for anything-even Cherry Jubilee. Cherry's looking for a good fling, and she's more than happy to bring Patti and Kate along for the ride.

Now these girls have turned the tables on men-and the games have begun. But one of them might just find the one thing they least expected-a man worth keeping.

February 08, 2005: This book is a keeper. I laughed out loud at the kitchen food fight scene. I want to read more of her books.

October 01, 2002: When her cousin Patti is dumped at the alter, Kate agrees to go with her on the honeymoon trip she had planned to be taking. On the flight to Hawaii, Kate and Patti meet lounge singer Cherry Jubilee, who is on her way to Hawaii for a fling, preferrably with a millionaire.

Kate finds romance almost immediately, falling into bed with a handsome stranger whose name she does not know, and who does not know hers either. She later learns that he works at the hotel. However, what she does not know is that her mystery lover, Jack McKenna, is none other than the son of the hotel owner, James McKenna. Jack has been given the challenge of working for ten days as a hotel employee to learn the business from the ground up, and he can not reveal who he is or use his fortune during that time, or he will lose out on taking over the family business.

Believing Jack to be a bartender, and poor, Kate does not expect more out of their romance than a "fling", yet what is between them is irresistible, and she finds herself caring more for the man than she would like to. Jack, on the other hand, does not want a golddigger, which is what he considers all three of the women at first. Like Kate though, he can not deny what the two of them share.

As one couple handles romantic dilemas, Patti and Cherry work to find their places in life and make their dreams come true. Whether or not they involve romance remains to be seen (hopefully in future books!)

**** This lively, quick paced and humorous novel will appeal to a broad spectrum of fans. There is a strong "chick lit" element focusing on the women and their relationships, yet the romance is in no way lessened by this. Jack is in no way a beta male, as is usually the case with a women's fiction book. Some readers might be bothered that the sexual relationship started so quickly between two strangers. One major flaw in the book is though that despite the fact that Kate was always trying to collect recipes, none are provided at the back of the book, and you will be craving chocolate chip cookies before the end of THE FLING. ****
