      Synopsis

      A Sorceror Prince
Heir to the kingdom of Rune, Cenrick sees it is his responsibility to seek out the truth. There are disturbing reports of a great evil befalling his people. The solution lies in the world of mortals, in a quest that may mean his very soul—and his heart.

      A Defender of Justice
Lately Dee Bishop's life is going to hell in a handbasket: Suspended from the South Worth police force, dumped by her fiancé...even her best friend has abandoned her. But that hardly necessitates surrender. And when she is told of a conspiracy that threatens a reality she's never fathomed, she swears to set things right. Looking into this dark stranger's eyes, she can imagine nothing worse than a life without magic.

      A Love for the Ages
Metal and mysticism, technology or sorcery: Two worlds in conflict. The dangers are greater than they'd ever imagined. But so are the rewards.

November 30, 2006: Someone is stealing Fae?s souls, leaving them in a zombie-like state. King Roark of Rune believes his nephew, Talmak (Mick) is involved in this evil plan. He sends his son, Cenrick to the mortal realm to find him. Dee Bishop, a cop has had a string of bad luck. She has been suspended from her job. She has been dumped by her fianc?, and now her best friend, Mick has disappeared. Dee is worried that something terrible has happened to Mick. She goes to his house to see if he has left behind a clue. She finds Cenrick hiding in Mick?s garage. He tells her that he is Fae, and so is Mick. Of course she thinks he?s nuts, but with a spell, he proves to her that magic really does exist. While trying to unravel the mystery involved with stealing the Fae?s souls, and who is out to destroy Dee, they also must deal with their growing attraction to each other. Ms. Whiddon pens a story of suspense and mystery, where the strongest magic of all, is love that reaches to the soul. I would recommend this tale for anyone that loves a good fast-paced fantasy.

November 17, 2006: As the heir to the Fae kingdom of Rule, it is Cenrick's duty to determine what is happening and do whatever it takes to solve the problem when there is an epidemic in which his people are being robbed of their souls and their magic after being in the world of humanity. Moreover, he needs to know how his old friend, Mick, is involved in it initially, all the victims were associated with that Fae. There's someone else looking for Mick human policewoman Dee Bishop. Mick is her only hope of clearing her name from false charges, but when she goes to his house looking for her best friend, she finds not Mick, but the prince. The pair agrees to team up to solve the matter. As their work progresses, so does the inevitable attraction between the two of them, and it is a life-saving love for Cenrick as Dee is apparently able to shield him from the plague. **** Magic, love, and suspense are a winning combination in this next in the Rune series. Dee reverses the traditional role of heroine as she is Cenrick's salvation, but does it in a way that does not make the prince seem in any way weak. Faery tales are not just for children as long as there are stories like this. ****
