July 24, 2003: Robin Popp's futuristic romance, TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN, shines from page one. No wonder it's won a dozen contests and was nominated for the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award. Popp's characters are vividly drawn and appealing. I love Angel's outer toughness and inner vulnerability. Nicoli is the perfect alpha male: fierce, protective, with a heart only Angel can touch. The chemistry between these two sizzles--even when Nicoli doesn't have a body! This is one of the most original books I have ever read. The twist at the end especially blew me away. I always hear romance readers saying they are tired of the same plots and stories. If you are looking for something new and hot by an author who is sure to be a best-seller very soon, read TOO CLOSE TO THE SUN.
