      August 13, 2000: I've never read a story with a shape-shifter in it before, but let me tell you Ms. Zimlich is a master at catching my attention. You have to love the heroine, Alexandra Fallon and how after an arrranged marriage she leaves her bridegroom in the lurch on their wedding night. Nor can you resist the delicious and sensual wooing of the runaway bride by her shapeshifter husband turned into a renegade gun running space pirate. With revoltuion and the outcome of the future world at stake, The Black Rose is a compelling read by a talented author. Be sure and add this book to your bookshelf.
