February 16, 2009:
As a software engineer, I've read my share of programming books. But this one truly stands out. Its examples are useful, illuminating, well-written and clear. Every time I read the book, I learn something new, and what's more, I can use the example code directly in my application. I don't mean that I steal the code, but rather, the examples correlate exactly to tasks I am trying to achieve in my own applications.
If anything I'd like to see a follow-up to this book, focusing more on some of the 'special' features of android such as Navigation and using the accelerometer.
Nicely done.

December 30, 2008: Extremely thorough and well written. Anyone doing Android should get this book. If only all tech books were this good. Honestly.
