April 07, 2008: This was a great introduction the the AIR environment. It covered basic AIR, installation of packages, differences found depending on the operating system your package is installed in. Introduces the most powerful part of AIR for many desktop programmers which is SQLite support. I found it quite good for an introduction into AIR and left me wanting more books on this new multi-operating system runtime. AIR looks to be promising as a step in the right direction for development of applications that can be developed once and deployed on many operating systems.
