Long ago, a poor servant girl created an exquisite wedding gown for her haughty mistress, who was to marry the man that the girl loved with all her heart. Though tempted to stop the marriage using her secret magical skills, she instead ensured the groom's happiness by enchanting the dress so that whoever possessed it would be blessed with true love.
But the spell went delightfully awry, working its magic for the servant girl instead of her mistress-and then the dress mysteriously vanished. Who knows where or when it may turn up next, for some blushing bride to claim as her very own?

September 19, 2009: I enjoyed this book. I don't usually like books written by multiple authors but this one works. Perhaps it works because they are writing about a magical dress that fits any person --- very much like the travelling pants --- except this one gets to the real point more quickly. The wedding dress is magical because love is magical. I feel that love will appear (as if by magic) if it is only given a chance. The wedding dress sets up those sympathetic love vibrations and once that happens there is no point resisting --- love is going to happen. We all want love and when the dress makes its appearance you will cheer because you know it won't be far behind but as always in the case with love not where you would always expect to find it. Love is an addiction is so many ways and so is reading about it. I'll buy any book with a wedding dress on the cover. It doesn't make sense but I find a like the vast majority of these books.
Recommended for romantics and those who believe in magic.I Also Recommend: Secret Life of Bees, The Time Traveler's Wife, Ellen Foster, The Jane Austen Book Club.
