      Synopsis

Sheila Malory's old friends Charlie and Jo Hamilton run a popular riding school in the quiet English town of Taviscombe. When Charlie is found dead in his stables from a blow to the head—with only his horses as witnesses to his final moments— the entire community is shaken. Especially since Charlie's is just the first in a series of shocking and suspicious deaths. Mrs. Malory is on the case, but the trail of clues, from an unlucky horseshoe to a lethal electric fence, proves to be anything but a smooth ride.

May 06, 2009: Mrs. Malory and her family and circle of friends are old friends to the readers who enjoy them. Hazel Holt has a top notch writing style and presents her characters very clearly and very sympathetically. "Mrs. Malory and a Time to Die" is one of her best Mrs. Malory stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I Also Recommend: Mrs. Jeffries Holds the Trump (Mrs. Jeffries Series #24).

April 20, 2009: This book was enjoyable and easy to read. The characters are well developed and likeable. This is a good sit down in the evening and excape for a few hours. I do recommend this book and the others in the series.
