First time in Paperback
Based on the hit USA Network series— from Edgar® Award-nominated Monk screenwriter Lee Goldberg
Monk journeys into the realm of the cult science fiction show Beyond Earth—where he meets fans just as obsessive-compulsive as he is. Though he's not preoccupied with the program himself, Monk can understand where they're coming from. But there may be a killer among them: someone in a starship uniform has gunned down the show's creator
Lee Goldberg is a two-time Edgar(r) nominee who has written episodes for numerous shows, including Monk. In addition to the original Monk novels, he also authors the Diagnosis Murder series based on the show for which he was a writer and executive producer. Author website: leegoldberg.com.

October 17, 2009: The fun never ends with another edition of Mr. Monk in print form. As good as or better than the show because you are the architect using your imagination to visualize the absurdities of Mr. Monk. Be sure to add this your permanent library for future re-reading. Lee Goldberg has hit the mark again!
I Also Recommend: The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency (The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency Series #1).

March 17, 2009: Have been a MONK fan since conception of the TV series. I have all DVDs to date, & read all seven MONK books. The author has stayed true to all characters from the TV series. Never has there been another unique character as MONK since the days of Palumbo.Monk is unique, funny, quirky, annoying, compulsive, and above all,the best detective around. When he finally solves a mystery, he reminds me of Hercule Poirot in the final synopsis of the crime.I have found all these qualities in all seven books as well. Will miss the TV series when it ends this summer, but I hope the MONK books continue. Thanks for a great read, plus a few chuckles along the way as I picture MONK.
