Tour guide Mara MacDougall stops at a London antique shop-and spots perhaps the handsomest bed ever. Then she bumps into the handsomest man ever. Soon Mara can't forget the irresistible-if haughty-Highlander. Not even when she learns that she's inherited a Scottish castle.
Spectral Sir Alexander Douglas has hated the Clan MacDougall since he was a medieval knight and they tricked him into a curse-the curse of forever haunting the bed (the very one that Mara now owns) that was once intended for his would-be bride. But Mara makes him feel what no other MacDougall has-a passion that he never knew he'd missed.
Highlander In Her Bed is a tale laced with treachery and a love that heals past wounds. Mackay pens an enchanting tale with an interesting plot and likeable characters. Mara has a great sense of humor and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her Highlander with her. Alexander is a charming character who has been wronged in the past, but is willing to overlook a few details to keep the woman he has fallen in love with. The secondary characters are quirky, funny and add color to the tale.
More Reviews and RecommendationsAllie Mackay is the alter ego of USA Today bestselling author, Sue-Ellen Welfonder, who writes Scottish medieval romances. A former flight attendant of Scottish descent, she spent fifteen years living in Europe and still makes annual visits to Scotland. Most inspired by the wild places of Scotland’s far north, she is also fascinated by the paranormal, Scottish folklore and Highland tradition. Besides her great love of Scotland, her other main interests are medieval history, hill walking, and dogs.

July 31, 2007: I did enjoy this read, the sex scenes really make your cheeks flame! It had some great laughs, lots of good scottish stuff. As one of the other reviewers stated, there might be a few down times in the storey.... but with the steam scenes you tend to overlook it ! Enjoy . . .
