March 12, 2009: I have never read this author before but picked up the book because it looked entertaining. Boy was I wrong. Not even half way into the book and I was bored. Not to mention the romantic scenes were terrible. The whole pirate theme was distracting and I didn't like either of the main characters. The most redeeming character was Holder who at least was likeable and interesting and not in the book nearly enough to make me want to finish the book. I would not recommend this book at all.
I Also Recommend: Fantasy Lover (Dark-Hunter Series), Magic in the Wind (Drake Sisters Series #1), The Winter Lodge (Lakeshore Chronicles Series #2), The Unsung Hero (Troubleshooters Series #1).

March 15, 2007: THis book is great. I am a huge Historical fiction reader, as well as paranormal romance and contemporary. Katie MacAlister does a great job of keeping Blow Me Down to date while throwing in a twist of historical fiction, in the form of a virtual reality game. With characters who you love more with every passing page, this story keep you grinning until the very last page. I reccomend it to Historical Fiction lovers as well as Katie MacAlister readers. You will all enjoy this book.
