If he can't have her, no one can
To one man, recent widow Marissa Jamison and her two children are the perfect family-and he will stop at nothing to make sure that they belong to him.
It's been a year since her firefighter husband was killed by a hit-and-run driver, and Marissa and her two young children are finally getting on with their lives when a killer begins leaving ribbon-bedecked bodies as "gifts" for her, as well as red roses and late night silent phone calls. An obsessed madman determined to claim the "perfect family" he "deserves," an old love who will do anything to keep Marissa safe, and a tenacious cop who goes above and beyond the call are highlights of this chilling, exceptionally well-crafted tale of romantic suspense that makes especially effective use of the villain's point of view. Cassidy, a veteran writer of contemporary series romances (Promise Him Anything), lives in Kansas City, MO Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.

July 16, 2005: Cassidy has done a good job with the plot. It is a believable story with the death of Marissa's husband and the continued friendship that she has with the rest of the firemen. After some of the murders you wonder is it one of the firemen, or is it her old boy friend, Alex, who just happens to come back to town. It is very suspenseful and it was difficult for me not to go back to the end of the book to see who the murderer is. Ms. Cassidy continues to be my favorite author.
