June 26, 2005: Jo Beverly did a very good job with this book by giving us the historical details that leads to the mistrust between the Hero and Heroine. The plot is very intrigueing and fill with suspense. I however would have like this book better if the heroine was more trustful towards the hero. There are certain parts when the Hero has his heart out for her and she simply push him away with her mistrust of him. If it is really love she should trust him and support him and only him regardless of what he is doing. I recommend this book to those readers who loves passion mix with history
