    Synopsis

A story of duty and sacrifice for family and country, of forgiveness and loss, of finding your way to the home of your heart.

Army Ranger Luke Boudreau commanded a secret mission that went horribly awry.  The physical wounds he takes away from the experience are inconsequential compared to his guilt for the loss of a fellow soldier – a man who will never be recognized for his bravery because of the covert nature of their operation.  When Luke is recovered enough, he travels to Grover, Mississippi to pay his respects to a woman who gave her son to the service of his country.  He must do so in a way that doesn’t reveal the true circumstances of the man’s death.  He braces himself for a mother’s bitter anger, secretly hoping this encounter will begin to deliver him from his torment.

However, what he finds in Grover is far from either recrimination or absolution.  He is quickly drawn into a family that desperately needs his help -- a younger brother bent on self-destruction and a mother with a secret burden of her own.  And most shocking of all, he discovers a beautiful widow he didn’t know existed – a woman who tempts him to break his own moral code.

October 14, 2004: Don't expect a fast-paced plot, but do expect a beautiful story with mystery, sadness, happiness, intrigue, and absolutely wonderful characters. I couldn't put this book down, despite it's not-so-fast-paced plot. It's an amazing book and I definitely recommend it to anyone that loves a great rocky-road-to-romance story.

September 28, 2004: Magnolia Sky is a beautiful book that will touch your heart in so many ways. Luke Boudreau has been avoiding the family of his fellow soldier Calvin Abbott for months. Calvin died on a mission that Luke was in charge. Luke was prepared to talk to Calvin?s mother but had no idea there was a wife. Analise Abbott was making a wonderful life for herself with her deceased husband?s family. Her marriage was far from perfect but she gained a family in his mother and brother. When Luke comes to town he upsets the balance in her life. Circumstances cause Luke to stay in town longer then planned. Ana and Luke are drawn to each other but they both have issues from their past. This book is a must read. The secondary characters will touch your heart along with Ana and Luke. Magnolia Sky was a very emotional read for me. I just adored this whole book. Looking forward to the next book.
