    Synopsis

A WARRIOR IN CHAINS, A LADY IN CHARGE, AND A SEDUCTION TOO HOT TO HANDLE!

As chieftain of the Clan MacInnes, Lady Isolde will do anything to protect her people -- including sacrifice herself to the enemy. Donall the Bold, laird of the hated MacLeans, lies locked in her dungeon awaiting execution. But rather than slay him, Isolde comes up with a daring plan to forge a lasting peace between their clans. Though Donall curses his beautiful captor, only a madman would refuse to savor the pleasures beneath that tantalizing aura of dignity and grace. But Isolde offers a mere covenant ... and Donall craves nothing less than total conquest. Vowing to steal her heart and take his freedom, the renowned warrior instead will find himself in a diferent kind of prison -- one made of sweet, decadent passion, and one he may never wish to escape.

With her debut novel, DEVIL IN A KILT, Sue-Ellen Welfonder captured many readers' attention. She returns this year with another tale as equally unique and emotional as her first. There is little doubt in this reviewer's mind that Ms. Welfonder is on her way to stardom. SENSUAL

October 17, 2002: becomes a veritable treat for the senses as we sit down to enjoy another wonderful tale of sensual romance and intrigue by the remarkably talented author, Sue-Ellen Welfonder. Her newest novel is a story of mystery, searing passion, and heart-breaking betrayal upon a shrouded isle off the western coast of Scotland. From the first page I was held spell-bound by her magical use of words and easily carried through the pages with visions of an honorable and brave knight named Donall the Bold, and the courageous Lady Isolde who is willing to sacrifice herself and her innocence for the love and peace of her clan. The passion between these two characters is enthralling, and her secondary characters easily became as old and trusted friends as I was held rapt and mesmerized through the pages, unable to set this enticing story aside. As in Sue-Ellen?s first captivating book, `Devil in a Kilt?, her second, `Knight in my Bed? has given to me an enchanting and beguiling gift, and a true and heartfelt keeper sharing with us the beloved Scotland of old.
