      Synopsis

A Novel of the Sons of Destiny...

To avoid tempting destiny, the brothers are exiled to Nightfall Island, where women are forbidden. But when Dominor, the third-born brother, is taken by a powerful and beautiful mage, he wonders if she is the Prophesied Disaster: his foretold wife-to-be.

      Biography

Jean Johnson loves flirting, sewing, cats (though not necessarily flirting with cats who can sew), cooking (but not cooking cats), and has a distinct sense of humor. She also hopes to live in a castle some day, but only if it has decent plumbing, central heating, and Internet access. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family.

January 28, 2010: Except for the fact the book is primarily literary porn, which does get boring over repeated pages of explicit descriptions of the sex act, I found the story line wonderful, the characters delightful and the entire premise enough to cause me to go out and buy the next three today. I loved the first book, the second needed much more filling out, and the third one left the character a bit less masterful than he appears in books one and two. Still, the entire idea is intriguing. Outrageously handsome and gifted men who all have to find their destined mate? Wonderful! I NEED to know why Storm is so tormented! I recommend this book only to very mature audiences and sincerely wish the author would cut back on the descriptive sex. A little goes a long way.

I Also Recommend: The Naming, The Riddle, The Singing, The Crow.

October 17, 2009: Johnson has yet to let me down in this fascinating world of hers. As the overall story develops, I find myself more and more curious about these eight brothers and their destined mates. With a creative world and great characters, this series is great for anyone who loves fantasy romances! Make sure you start with the first book - The Sword!

If you liked this book, you might also enjoy the "Heart of the Dragon" by Gena Showalter.

I Also Recommend: Heart of the Dragon (Gena Showalter's Atlantis Series #1), The Sword (Sons of Destiny Series #1).
