December 08, 2008: I bought this book because it was on the bargain list and am so happy that I did. I loved Victoria Thompson's writing style and found this book to be thoroughly engaging. The characters were well thought out and the plot interesting. I am thrilled to find another historical fiction mystery writer! I have read all of Anne Perry's novels and will now begin the journey through Ms. Thompsons!

November 26, 2006: This is yet another great mystery with a twist. You might think you know who the killer is but do not be so sure Ms. Thompson always has something up her sleeve.
