October 04, 2009: I had the pleasure to read one of Meljean Brooks shorts in an anthology I had purchased and quickly got hooked on her Demon series. It has a great plot, good characters who do show up in the various other books.
The angels are not fallen but not in heaven either, so here on Earth they watch out for the 'good' guys-- humans-- whilst Demons do try to make the humans do the bad stuff. Of course there are rules for the Demons and this is why the angels are here. Her characters do have humor which is a plus for me in books like this for it can't all be 'loving' and vampire gloom. or Paranormal Gloom.I would recommend this for anyone who does read Paranormal series as it just fits.I Also Recommend: Demon Angel, Demon Night, First Blood, Demon Bound, Demon Forged.

July 31, 2007: I loved this book. The romance was beyond anything I have ever read. Sweet, sad, will they or won't they be together. I must agree with another reviewer that parts were confusing. You had to stay on top of this book. It was not an easy read. I surmised that you needed to have read Demon Angel to understand parts of this book, but for some reason, it did not deter my interest. I loved it!!!!
