      Synopsis

Bounty hunter Kane Winter has spent two years looking for the mysterious woman who was there when his partner was killed. But when the hunted turns out to be a seductive vampire, Kane is consumed by a desire greater than vengeance-a hunger to possess this woman for himself.

      Publishers Weekly

Walker's latest is a humdrum foray into romantic paranormal adventure that's bogged down by thin characters and indistinguishable sex scenes. After bounty hunter Kane Winter witnesses the murder of his partner, Duke, during a botched drug deal, one of the only things he remembers is a beautiful, enigmatic woman who haunts his dreams. Turns out that woman is Kendall, a vampire and a Hunter for a supernatural cadre of vigilantes who protect humanity from the Hunters' "evil" counterparts. When Kane begins a quest to find Duke's killers, he discovers a knack for sniffing out and killing vampires, bringing him back in contact with Kendall. Together, they begin taking out bad guys and making frenzied vamp-hunter love, both of which grow tiresome, leading to a conclusion predictable to everyone except the characters involved. July 11, 2009: Another winner from Shiloh Walker. This book will keep you reading.

The plot is full of surprises, and her man is a hot hunk that any woman

would love to meet. Her hero is a strong alpha male that matches the

heat and passion of the strong female lead.

April 19, 2009: I found this story to be good until the half way point. I typically can get through a book in less than 48 hours, but somehow I could never get fully into this story and it took me four days to struggle through it. I feel taht it was too drawn out and lengthy with eztras that were not needed. I found it also very predictable and cliche. I did not no it was part of this Hunters series, but I do not see myself reading the rest of the series or anything else from this auther any time soon. I'm not particauarly interested in what happens to the characters after the end of the story; the final chapter was a huge let down (there sould have been more of the thereafter instead of the loving finally) and the epialoge made absolutely no sense; perhaps it would have made more sense if I had read the books before this one, but as a stand alone (the the entire book made no references to previous books) it was not clear. I most likely will not read this book again, nor would I recommend it to any one.

      I Also Recommend: Immortal Danger.
