Lance Marshall has a nose for great news stories-not surprising, since he's aided by his werewolf abilities. Now he's prowling outside an ultra-exclusive Washington, D.C. nightclub-"The Castle." But he is not alone. Savannah Carpenter wants to know how her sister ended up in a coma, and she knows that The Castle has something to do with it. But when Lance and Savannah pretend to be lovers to gain entrance, they learn that deception and unbridled lust can be a dangerous combination.

June 08, 2008: Savannah Carpenter is an artist who is trying to find out the turth about her sister's death. She has lived a sheltered life and is barely realizing how to live on the edge.------------Lance Marshall is a journalist who is trying to write a book about The Castle, a sex club with rich patrons. While he is investigating he meets Savannah and realizes that he is not immune to the life mate pull.----------SHADOW OF THE MOON is completely different than York's other moon novels. If you don't like to read about kinky sex or about hot bedroom scenes then don't pick up this book. However, I think a lover of romance would enjoy reading this book and love the suspense that York definitely delivers.

July 28, 2006: I am a big fan of York and would reccomend any of the 'Moon' series book, but not this one. The relationship between the two main characters, Lance and Savannah, feels so forced. Before they ever get to know each other they have sex so that they can feel comfortable when they go to The Castle, a sex club, to investigate the murder of Savannah's sister. Even if I could buy this, the rest of the plot, mostly scenes where the two have kinky sex, just don't hold up. I just didn't buy it. Don't get me wrong, I like steamy scenes in a romance, but I have to feel there is some real chemistry between the characters. The only reason I kept reading this novel, was because I've read the other four Moon novels and expected this one to turn a corner and get better. The one saving grace was the excerpt from her upcoming novel. It sounds great.
