      Synopsis

Meet the unconventional Aggie Sloan-Wilcox, a minister's wife with her own calling: helping troubled souls in need of justice.

When the naked body of a murdered woman turns up on Aggie's front porch--and suspicion falls on Aggie's husband--she doesn't have a prayer of clearing his name unless she can uncover the truth in a town not known for confessing its sins.

July 01, 2008: I stumbled across Emilie Richard's book Lovers Knot and became totally entranced in her books. This book Blessed is the Busybody is delightful. Aggie has both intelligence and a terrific sense of humor in this book. I was sad the book was over when I finished.

December 22, 2007: This is, in general, a pleasant read, however, Aggie's frequent sarcastic references about the political right make me suspect the author is pushing an agenda. Of course I understand that these references are 'in character' for Aggie who is adjusting to a new life among decorated sweatshirt wearing soccer moms. It's just that I finished the book feeling vaguely insulted. Emilie Richards has found her niche, and I wish her luck, but its not my cup of tea.
