      Synopsis

Liz Connor's life is turned upside down when her mother is arrested for a murder committed thirty years ago. No one can believe it--except the FBI--and now her mother isn't talking. To uncover the truth, Liz must rely on the help of an ex-cop who ignites her fiery desire--and who has a secret that could shatter Liz's life.

      Library Journal

Liz Connor is stunned when her mother is arrested by the FBI, accused of a 34-year-old murder linked to a violent antiwar group, and then refuses to defend herself. But the truth is elusive and the search dangerous as Liz finds herself warily joining forces with an ex-cop on the same search but with a very different-and hidden-agenda. Clearly inspired by last year's arrest of Sara Jane Olson, a former member of a terrorist group in the Seventies, this chilling, complex tale of revenge, betrayal, and long-kept secrets explores the devastating effects the past can have on the present. Potter lives in Cordova, TN. Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
