February 09, 2006: I just finishing a ragtag-dog-eared, been read by many people and now I know why. Although the hero is a mirror image of Sherlock Holmes and his addiction, every other page was a 'oh no, I can't believe it!!' The romance is almost nil but in this case was no problem, the story holds you enthralled throughout. Can't wait to read other books by this author.

January 02, 2004: I came upon 'Midnight Angel' purely by chance in an airport terminal. And what a prize I found!!! Beard is a truly talented storyteller. Who knew there could be an interesting and actual plot to a romance novel which did not include many of today's cliches? I was intrigued with the mystery, impassioned by the romance, and delighted with the book as a whole. Beard has truly made a fan of me.
