    Synopsis

Both sides have warned her to get out of Texas pronto. . .or they will burn her father‘s ranch to the ground. What Cassie needs is a peacemaker 埢ut she ends up with a widow–maker instead.

He is called Angel, a ruggedly handsome hired gun with eyes as black as sin. Unwanted and unwelcomed by his ungrateful employer, he would just as soon leave Cassie to fend for herself. But a stubborn sense of duty, and a desire to taste the sweetness of her kiss 埳teels Angel‘s resolve to make Cassie want him, come hell or high water. . .and for more than his gun alone.

December 06, 2009: I liked this book. I was very excitied to start it after reading about Angel in Savage Thunder. He has an awesome sense of humor. I did however like Savage Thunder way better. Angel and Cassie is a great pair, but the passion could have been a little hotter. Two parts that I thought were hillarious 1. Angel being drunk and falling on his face in his room with only his feet sticking out for Cassie to see lol...and the morning after their wedding night when he watched her in the mirror getting dressed...typical Angels sense of humor. He so cute !!A good book ;0)

August 27, 2008: I've read Brave the Wild Wind and Savage Thunder and was excited to read Angel after his cameo in Savage Thunder. The books was pretty good. Angel never let me down he was sexy and mysterious from beginning to end and still managed to make me laugh. Cassie was a good match for him, someone sweet and light-hearted and Angel's probably the only person who could pick up after her 'meddling'. The only thing I didn't really care for were random snippets that I didn't think were necessary- like the pet panther. That's entirely unrealistic and some rabid wolf hound would have done just as well, being both menacing and in the realm of possibility. The estrangement between Cassie's parents becomes utterly ridiculous once you learn the cause and that could have been better done. And it seemed entirely irrelevant that Cassie's family happened to be from Cheyenne, practically neighbors to Chase and Jessie, not to mention far-fetched. Otherwise the passion was hot, the fight scenes were delicious and the plot moved along nicely. I really hope that Johanna Lindsey continues with the series and finds Billy someone special. My money's on Angel's little sister. Both of them have that adventurous spirit and that way Angel could really be part of the core family.
