    Synopsis

Twenty years ago, a boy named Jack Sawyer travelled to a parallel universe called The Territories to save his mother and her Territories "twinner" from a premature and agonizing death that would have brought cataclysm to the other world. Now Jack is a retired Los Angeles homicide detective living in the nearly nonexistent hamlet of Tamarack, WI.

Two master craftsmen, each at the top of his game. Hugely pleasurable.

February 03, 2008: Grabs you from the beginning. Good by itself, better if reader has read 'The Talisman', which is also highly recomended. Masterwork in depicting such human characters and real type life, not seen by most people. Though he depicts such a depressing world, he still shows life, and people of fine high moral value. 'Life is realy bad, but it is actually realy good.' On edge excitement. Don't read it while you are eating.
