January 27, 2007: I read this book when it first came out on the shelves, so its been a while, but i've yet to find another book that was as good as this one. It continues to keep you on your toes throughout, && is difficult to put down.

November 09, 2005: One of the best books I have read all year, it is also the first one I have seen using the Bosnian-Serbian conflict as the basis for the plot. The effects of trauma on military torture survivors plays a major part in this romantic suspense thriller. The story of a trauma/torture survivor who is being hunted for assassination for political reasons, Claire tries to build a life in Canada with no memory of the past horrors she endured. Special Ops 'Team One' tries to protect her both physically and psychologically, but the threat is too great. She begins to suffer PTSD symptoms as her memory returns. The Director of Team One, Simon, feels intense guilt but has no idea how to help her emotionally. The author did an excellent job of combining the romantic element with the suspense plot, and it is one of the best novels I have read this year. Highly recommended!!
