Baseball.
The crack of the bat, the roar of the crowd... and the view of mouthwatering men in tight uniforms! A sport in which the men are men...and the women like them that way. Join three of Harlequin Blaze's bestselling authors in celebrating the men who indulge in this All-American pastime--and the women who help them indulge in other things...
In Fever Pitch, Julie Elizabeth Leto introduces Callie Andrews, a woman who's dying to have one last chance at bat... with her ex-husband!
In Kimberly Raye's The Sweet Spot, Babe Bannister discovers that striking out with a sexy shortstop isn't so bad--especially when it leads to hitting a home run with a delicious coach....
And in Leslie Kelly's Sliding Home, we meet plain Janie Nolan. She's been sitting on the bench so long, she doesn't even realize she's still in the game. That is, until a sexy pitcher tempts her to come up to the plate and take a swing...
USA TODAY bestselling author Julie Elizabeth Leto started her career at Harlequin in 1998 and has since sold over twenty projects for the Signature, Blaze and Temptation lines. Lucky to win a few awards in her career, Julie rates the two she's received from the readers at eHarlequin.com as her favorites--"Steamiest Book of the Year" for her launch Blaze title, Exposed and "Most Passionate Pick" for her Temptation book, What's Your Pleasure? A Florida native, Julie lives in Tampa with her husband, daughter and a very spoiled dachshund and can often be found visiting with readers in Community. You can find out more about Julie, including information on the mainstream action-adventure novels she writes for Simon & Schuster, by visiting her web site.
Award-winning author Kimberly Raye has always been an incurable romantic. While she enjoys reading all types of fiction, her favorites, the books that touch her soul, are romance novels. From sexy to thrilling, sweet to humorous, she likes them all. But what she really loves is writing romance -- the hotter the better! She started her first novel back in high school and has been writing ever since. Kim lives deep in the heart of the Texas Hill Country with her very own cowboy, Curt, and their young children. She's an avid reader (she reads all the Blaze books), loves Diet Dr. Pepper, chocolate, Toby Keith, chocolate, alpha males and chocolate. Kim also loves to hear from readers. Leslie is a stay-at-home mother of three, who started writing as a creative outlet after one too many games of Chutes & Ladders. After meeting a group of other women with asimilar interest in writing, she became part of a critique group and started spinning the story of a sexy radio D.J. That book, the first she ever wrote, was purchased off the slush pile by an editor at Harlequin Temptation.
Night Whispers earned Leslie the NONA (Notable New Author of 1999) Award from OV-RWA, several Reviewer's Choice Awards, the award for "Best Romantic Suspense of 1999" from Romance Communications, second place in the Short Contemporary category for VCRW's Laurel Wreath Award for Excellence in Published Romance Fiction, and the National Reader's Choice Award for "Best Short Contemporary Romance of 1999."
Leslie is one of the founding members of SpacecoasT Authors of Romance (STAR) in Brevard County, Florida, and served as its first full-term president. She has presented workshops and programs at several writers' conferences and chapter meetings throughout Florida and Georgia, has appeared on television and radio talk show programs, and has judged writing contests from around the country.

July 13, 2006: What a terrific find, I am generally just a Kimberly Raye fan, but the way the ladies cooked this book up, I could and would not put it down.
